Why My Focus Isn’t the Contractor: It’s the People Who Hired Them

Pragmatism Check: Who’s Actually Accountable?

A friend asked why I don’t spend more time hammering the construction company. I will ... eventually. But here’s the pragmatic truth: I don’t pay the contractor every year. I pay the people who hire them the people who angle for awards ... David C. Bills, Michael Walker (NYSED), and Ken Coon.

Yes, the contractor likely broke codes and they should be held to them. But ultimate accountability sits with the leadership that set scope, approved timelines, wrote checks, and ignored neighbors.

The “Community” Comms That Weren’t

From my seat on Clark Ln, communication from David C. Bills was near zero and when it arrived it felt manipulative ... backstopped by Ken Coon and buffed by Michael Walker at NYSED.

While I waited weeks for replies from a taxpayer-funded iPhone, the pattern became obvious: delay tactics dressed up as “I don't want to generalize.”

“I will continue to make sure the project operates within the appropriate parameters. I’m sorry this has become adversarial.”
... David C. Bills

Read that again:

“I’m sorry this has become adversarial.”
... David C. Bills

For context: in my prior email I explicitly said I am not adversarial by nature ... but their choices were pushing it there. That line reads like a power move from the “kindness and courage” crowd, assuming an older neighbor would just fade quietly.

Why Leadership ?

  • Chain of command matters. Contractors don’t set community standards ... superintendents and boards do.
  • Spending authority matters. We pay leadership to protect residents, not to outsource the fallout.
  • Awards and press releases matter. If you want the photo-ops, you own the outcomes.
  • Silence is a decision. Non-communication during dust, noise, and disruption isn’t neutral ... it’s neglect.

Bottom Line

This crew projects “It’s not my fault” while we all pay ... with money, time, and peace in our own yards. I’ll keep receipts on the contractor. But make no mistake: my focus stays on the people in charge ... David C. Bills, Michael Walker (NYSED), and Ken Coon ... because that’s where accountability lives.

For those that happened upon this site I will be doing a full video that covers all these points. The main goal for me now is to build my content as a record of David C. Bills , Michael Walker, and Ken Coon. I am sure it gets a chuckle at what I can only assume are David C. Bills district famous fondue parties !!!, to be fair I am not sure the fondue parties exist but I feel there is a 75% chance they do. What I want to really know did Ken Coon finally get an invite.

Hey like I said maybe it saves some people surrounding the golf course from whatever David C. Bills has planned over there in the future, and trust me he will have plans..and as I will illustrate it does not matter WHAT you vote on once you give him the keys to your wallet.

If the dude truly had "courage" or "kindness" he would have attempted 1 single phone call.. he prefers hide behind and quote Maya Angelou from his iPhone.. its what people like him do.
