So it looks like the wonderful community leaders at West Genesee and the School Board have finally uploaded their revamped 2025 Capital Project documents.
Honestly, the timing couldn’t be better. I’ve been revisiting the 2021 Capital Project vote and how that experience unfolded for me — and this update is the perfect segue to finish the first part of my story.
But in the meantime, I want to be clear about one thing:
Whatever they show you now will be minimal. And once the digging starts, the Town will not help you.

Because I look deep at these documents Better late than never I suppose are you telling me that this is good enough to win a vote into your wallet ?
"The District is presenting conceptual plans created in conjunction with the District's architect. Detailed plans are not finalized prior to the vote as the vote is to authorize the funding and general scope."
It would be funny if it was actually funny.
Let that sink in.
If that’s accurate, then you’re being asked to vote on something you have no actual details about. No blueprints, no specifics — just a “conceptual plan.” Give us money and trust us.
According to a 2020 transportation study completed for the District by Transportation Advisory Services, the transportation facility has "significant limitations" that lead to "inefficiencies". The traffic flow around the facility is cramped and can present challenges.
And yet… no link to the study? after my short worthless interactions with David C. Bills I realized this is how they do business. Am I missing something here ?
If you’re going to cite data to justify millions in taxpayer spending, the least you can do is show the study. . Maybe Mr. David C. Bills and the West Genesee School Board think we can't read ? Maybe they think we can't understand the complexities ?
There will be more.. I mean I am sure people will need raises just to "manage" this whole thing.. It will just keep going. David C. Bills has to make it to that $250K mark!
I sincerely hope none of you ever have interact with Mike "Scumbag" Walker who will be doing the approving of the plans you don't get to vote on.
